"We are expecting to get iray running smoothly on Kepler later this year."

    So Q4 2012 I guess...

"We are currently focused on making this happen as soon as possible. It appears to be a bigger step than anticipated. Going to Kepler is a major shift in GPU architecture, so iray (and other GPU algorithms) need to be adjusted to take full benefit of this. At the same time, a new CUDA version and compiler, plus a new driver generation, will be incorporated, having quite some impact on the overall performance." -Steve

I read on Bunkspeed forum, that they just updated their software with new iRay 3 version and iRay that supports Kepler.
    Any news on this one?
    For 3ds max?

    Thanks in advance!

This means they have completed their work to include the features for the new architecture.

So technically ARC is done with that and it's ready.

You should probably ask Autodesk when they will have it in Max, since they are the ones to decide on inclusion. Even if ARC delivers it, they can't make them integrate it.

There is a good chance that Autodesk will publish iray on Kepler support also for existing versions of 3dsMax.

    Hi Steve.

    That would be perfect.
Do you have any clue when these updates will come.
It`s an important information for me, because it seems that I have to buy a new Gr.card, because my Geforce GTX 550 Ti causes many problems while rendering with Iray, i guess it`s demaged. So I want to buy a GTX 660 Ti , but its a Kepler and I could not use the Kepler with Max 2012.

    Regards Seeda.

No, I don't have a clue, sorry. These updates from Autodesk would be out of their regular product release cycle, in other words unpredictable

This is up to Autodesk and other integrators like Bunkspeed. (I'm sure they have a plan, they just don't always share it.)

Have you asked them? I've not seen anything for Autodesk, but Bunkspeed has been pretty good about mentioning upcoming version and feature changes. 2012.5 includes iray 3: http://blog.bunkspeed.com/?p=1438
