    Default SHARED DISPLACEMENT at 3dsmax2013

    Hi Guys,

i have a little Problem. I am looking at the registry options, and will test now "shared_displacement". In the Documentation give it 3 modes "fine shared" ,"fine nosmoothing", "fine shared nosmoothing".

    1) What is correct?

registry "{_MI_REG_SHARED_DISPLACEMENT}" value "on" end registry

    or

registry "{_MI_REG_SHARED_DISPLACEMENT}" value "fine shared" end registry
registry "{_MI_REG_SHARED_DISPLACEMENT}" value "fine nosmoothing" end registry
registry "{_MI_REG_SHARED_DISPLACEMENT}" value "fine shared nosmoothing" end registry

    2) In wich mode is 3dsmax2013 default?

    hot chip

    Default

for the registry key, it is "on" or "off". the variable is deprecated, however useful for a quick test.
the manual refers to the approximation statements with "fine shared" etc. this is
specific to the "approximate" statement in the objects.
