Problems for the bookstore of the material MetaSLs

I apologize me, in advance, for my English.
I have read some posts, in which a common and recurrent problem and the use of the bookstores of the materials unloaded on Destination SL.
Also following the contained indications in the education PDF they are verified some prpblems however.
Do I wonder me but it would not be simpler to create and to make of the files with extension .mat available????
Would be everything simplest to load her in 3ds max!!!!

I am not sure i understand everything correctly. However, a mat file would not simplify the installation procedure, all the other steps described in the PDF would need to be done first.

Also, a .mat file would be 3ds max specific, but the materials are not only targeted at 3ds max, they also work in mental mill, neuray/realityserver and everything else that uses a recent mental ray.
