Default Where are the metallic paint, easy metallic, etc shaders from the cgchannel-post?

    Hi there,

the cgchannel feature (http://features.cgsociety.org/story_...?story_id=4916) of mental mill steered my attention to this fantastic programm but left me with some questions.

In the article you can see snapshots of shader-trees with shaders in them that are not available in the RC1 release. f.e. metallic paint, easy metallic, etc.

I wonder... where're these nodes hidden?

Are they just renamed standard illumination models?
Or are they not included and inserted as custom shaders taken from mental ray?

The shaders that your'e talking about are not part of the distribution. But as these are useful examples to show what you can create using MetaSL, I have posted them under http://forum.mentalimages.com/showthread.php?t=5315 where you can download these.

Please note that these are provided "as is" without any guarantees. See the disclaimer in the shader file. we just have to point that fact out

    Anyways, have fun with it!

    Best Regards,
    Ruediger

    Hi Ruediger

Thanks for posting the shaders. Could you please also post the shader "Brushed metal created in mental mill". That would be very nice!
