    Default Mental Mill not running

    Hi everyone,

am totally new to Mental Mill and these forums, and hope to be around for some time
I have a rather basic question. I haven't actually started using Mental Mill yet as ... well ... hmmmm ... I can't even get it to run (how embarassing ). I launch the porgram (at least I try), which shows up in the Task Manager but doesn't actually launch. I've checked out the requirements and all seems to be in order (XP Pro 32bits, Q6600 CPU, 2GB RAM ...) apart from the fact that I have a GeForce 8500 GT, which isn't on the list. Could this be causing the problem ?
Also, I do have a french copy of XP, but even though the french aren't perfect, I can't imagine my problem would be coming from that

    Many thanks.

    Hi Daz,

I think that your configuration should be perfect for mental mill, so I'm not sure what's happening. The initial launch of mental mill sometimes takes a few minutes (without a splash screen to indicate that anything is happening.) Did you end the process manually, or did you let it run for a while to see what happened?

    Hi David,

thx for the reply, most appreciated. I've just launched it and let it run for a good 10 min but nothing ...
Strangely, if I actually try to kill the process manually, it doesn't do anything either Mentalmill.exe still shows up in the list.
How much RAM should it be taking up roughly? It showing me just under 7MB. Does that sound right to you?

    Cheers

    Hi Daz,

Maybe something goes wrong with the initialization of mental mill. Update your drivers to the latest version. And try to launch mental mill again. That might help.

    Cheers,
    Ruediger

Hello, I am also having this problem.
I'm using xp64 and Geforce 8700M with core duo and the Nvidia driver version 180.84

Mill goes up to about 70% Cpu usage, and 72mb mem usage for 3-4 seconds, then disappears.
