Hi,
I am a standard .NET Developer. I have no experience in working with 3d.
However, I am working on a project which will definately use ray tracing for rendering.
What I'd like to do is, given a 3d model (example in link below) be able to walk around the image, and also render it using ray tracing.
Am I right in thinking that reality server is the software which will do the rendering on the server and reality designer sets up the scene? If so, what is the difference between reality designer and say 3ds max?
Also, it seems like Reality Server has a .NET API which is good...
Thus, my questions are:
How hard is for me to do what I said? Is this well within the abilities of the software?
Could someone clarify what reality designer does?

Thanks
