Are there any examples out there of using camera projection with just the mentalray shaders. I assume that mib_teture_vector is used but i am getting some odd results and see no way of setting up a seperate 'projection' camera from the renderCamera as the shader accesses the state camera and converts the point/vector to cam when using selspace 3 (camera)

I will continue in using maya's camera projection for now.

phew, how many times can you say camera.
