Hi, I am curious about how to use the mental ray geometry shader in maya.

I have managed to assign the basic primitives geoshaders to some object and render it fine. But I would like to use a custom peice of geometry. I have tried using the mib_geo_instance node... but the result where all unsuccessfull.

I tried looking on the net for tutorials or links explaining the use of this mib_geo_instance node but couldn't fine anything that helped me understand it. Some links I found talk about coding a lot. Is there a way of using this node straight in Maya without any .mi coding knowlage? I haven't started learning .mi scripting yet.

Any links on the subjets would be appreciated a lot.

Also, I found in one post about geoshaders this comment:
I also assume that you've seen the geoshader examples in the handbook?

What is this handbook?

Thanks
